Hello! We're Hailey and Mike, the proud owners of River Merle Farm, a small family-run farm nestled in Olympia, Washington. Our passion lies in cultivating and selling exquisite cut dahlias and tubers.

Our journey began in 2019 when we planted hundreds of dahlias for our dream wedding on our small woodland property. By 2020, River Merle Farm was officially established, and with each passing season, we've not only expanded our flower beds but also deepened our knowledge and love for nature and sustainable farming.

As we approach 2025, we’re excited to celebrate our fifth year of shipping tubers nationwide. At River Merle Farm, we prioritize eco-friendly practices, avoiding harsh chemicals and synthetic fertilizers. Instead, we nurture our Pacific Northwest soil by working harmoniously with the environment. Our methods include using cover crops to replenish nutrients, raising chickens to aerate and fertilize the land, and keeping honey bees to pollinate and produce new dahlia varieties from seed.

Each year, we expand our growing space, now boasting several thousand dahlias across approximately 150 established varieties, alongside hundreds of unique seedlings developed right here at River Merle Farm. Every dahlia tuber we offer is lovingly grown on our farm, where we pour our hearts into the process. We hand-plant each tuber, meticulously sanitize our tools between plants to ensure health, and individually harvest each dahlia. The labor of love continues as we carefully dig each clump, divide tubers over several weeks, and nurture them through the winter to ensure they thrive in your garden.
